Large ceiling pattress, round, hardwood 6 hook pattress manufactured from Iroko timber.  This ceiling pattress has a 6 hook set up to suspend multiple pendants, each hook takes a maximum weight limit of 5kgs, please see below.

This wooden pattress is manufactured in our UK workshops by craftsmen using sustainable timber. Iroko is also known as Africian Teak.

Approx. width 220mm ( 8 1/2 inches ) - depth approx. 37mm- no centre hole.

Each hook can take up to 5kg, you need to fix this securely to your ceiling and as will all items used to install lighting, mirrors etc the product should be weight load tested to ensure it is securely fastened.

The pattress and hooks will come dismantled and the components included with the pattress are:-

6 x female brass hooks
6 pieces of threaded hollow allthread
6 x washer
6 x nuts

The base of the pattress is recessed to receive your electric cable.

Our wooden pattress are hand turned in our own workshops in the UK using sustainable timbers, each is unique being handcrafted pieces by craftsmen with over 15 years experience.  Each piece of timber is hand selected to best suit the design and style of the pattress it is being used for often enhancing the timbers grain.

You may however wonder why you would use a wooden ceiling pattress.  

This particular pattress is for using when wishing to suspend multiple pendants, you may wish to have them suspended from chains direct from the hooks or you may wish to to use the hooks to loop cable over from the pattress to another hook on your ceiling (this product is a good choice to take the cable loop to further over on your ceiling) so that the pendant lights then are scattered over your ceiling.  If you wish to have a different finish to your hooks or metal cord grips please contact us, or if you would like less hooks or a central hook as well let us know as we may be able to customise this for you.

Or you may be replacing a light fitting that had a wide base than your new fitting or your ceiling has suffered some cosmetic damage whilst removing the old fitting, using a wooden ceiling pattress will, generally, cover a larger area than a ceiling rose meaning that you will not have to re-do your ceiling before installing your new light fitting giving a nice finish to your light fitting.

You may have a lot of electical cables coming down through the ceiling and the celiing rose has limited space for the wires, using one of our ceiling pattress means that you can shape the pattress to receive the cables within the depth of the pattress and place your ceiling rose on the pattress thus covering the wires and giving a clean finish to your install.

You may have a glass rose on your chandelier or light fitting and want the wires hidden in the pattress as described above.

Wooden pattress' can enhance the wooden furniture in your room blending the design, previous customers have advised that they have used our wooden pattress to sit behind light switch/dimmer switch panels and to display vintage internal bell pulls.
