Ideal for chandelier restoration or design see other pieces in our collection here or our sister site here

Please note. original Murano chandelier parts are handmade so no two pieces will be the same.

Although these pieces are rare these are being sold as the chandelier is regretfully incomplete making restoration of the original chandelier unviable as having pieces made would be too costly and reduce the value of the chandelier immensely as it would no longer be an original antique piece as it would contain reproduction parts.

As a vintage piece we would remind customers that there may be some minor age-related nibbles on antique and vintage stock and this must be remembered when purchasing although most of our parts are damage free.  We detail any significant damage within the listing and include photos of these separately where appropriate.

MFC10

As with all of our antique and vintage stock we hold photographs in addition to those shown in our listings to assist with stock identification and should an item be returned to assist with the returns process allowing us to identify parts that originated from ourselves.

Any parts returned that have not been purchased from ourselves would obviously be excluded from our returns policy as would any pieces returned damaged that do not match our listing details.

Please note that should an item be returned it is the buyers responsibility to ensure that the items are returned in the original packaging, properly packaged and secure and that any damage in transit to ourselves is between the buyer and their courier.

Please Note: Due to lighting effect, monitor's brightness etc, there could be some slight differences in the colour between the photo and the actual item, we are not responsible for these issues.

Restoring a chandelier is akin to restoring a piece of history and the same care and passion should be used as when a work of art, antique furniture or classic car is restored as chandeliers are also part of our history.  Whether your chandelier is sentimental to you as an individual/family or the chandelier has significant age it is still wrapped in the history of time and for that reason should be shown respect and reverence, giving the chandelier the chance to show you the elegance as it would have appeared when first crafted.

Using original chandelier parts from related era's allows you to maintain the historical importance of the chandelier so that the pieces are in keeping with the design and creativity of period - this is the foremost importance of using original parts.  Sometimes it will not be possible due to the rarity of the part and then you may need a piece made - before you follow this route please contact us - not all our stock is shown on our website - if we are unable to find a suitable chandelier part from either our own stocks or from contacts we will then be able to assist in having bespoke chandelier pieces made for your.  Our glass blowers and glass workers use traditional methods ensuring they are sympathetic to the individual chandelier.

From a financial point of view using original age appropriate pieces allows the chandelier to retain it's value whereas replacing with a large amount of reproduction chandelier parts, mass produced or inappropriate chandelier parts can decrease the value of your chandelier significantly.

Remember also, when cleaning your chandelier the brass parts should retain their age related patina, yes you want to remove the dust and dirt, but you do NOT want to remove the patina.  The patina is built up over time and is a testimony to the age of your chandelier.
